๐Ÿงฑ Cage Box Drills (15′ ร— 8′)

Designed for one player per box, focusing on ball mastery, directional turns, and scanning.

1. Wall Passes – Switching Feet

A simple but important skill where players alternate touches between their left and right foot while keeping the ball under control. This builds coordination, rhythm, and comfort with both feet, especially in tight spaces or under pressure.

Coaching Tips:

  • Stay light on your toes
  • Keep the ball close
  • Focus on clean, even touches with both feet

2. Pullback V or L Turn

This turn starts with a pullback using the sole of the foot, then a quick change of direction. The V turn uses the inside of the same foot, while the L turn uses the inside of the opposite foot. Both are great for shaking off defenders and changing direction quickly.

Coaching Tips:

  • Sell the move with your body
  • Pull back smoothly and cut sharply
  • Keep your head up after the turn

3. Turns and reacting to defender

Players work on receiving the ball and turning into space. Take this to the next level by having a coach stand behind them and have the player scan and react to the coach’s position.

Coaching Tips:

  • Encourage quick looks over the shoulder before the pass
  • Receive with the back foot
  • Turn into space quickly with control
