🏡 Daily Routine & Family Support

This page outlines the habits we’ve built at home to help our kids grow as players — physically, mentally, and confidently. In my house, we do not allow any screen time until these tasks are completed. You don’t need a perfect routine. What matters most is consistency, encouragement, and giving kids space to take ownership.

⚽ Daily Skill Work

Each day, players choose three skill moves from the Skills Page or focus on the Weekly Routine.

Some days we guide it. Some days they choose. The key is doing something each day to build confidence with the ball.

🧠 Game IQ Reports

Once a week, or daily in the summer, kids pick a video from the Game IQ section, watch it, and write a short report. Then they present what they learned to the family.

We keep these reports in a folder so they can review them before games, during off-days, or whenever they need a refresh.

Each report includes:

  • What the video covered
  • 1–2 key takeaways
  • How they can apply it in a game

Think of it like mini film study but fun and family-friendly.

🦶 Fascia Training

Fascia training helps prevent injuries and build strong feet. It’s quick, simple, and part of our daily warmup routine. This can be found in the exercise section.

  • Toe towel curls – 60 reps
  • Toe hops – 60 seconds
  • Optional: barefoot walking or juggling

This helps with foot strength, balance, and even reduces shin pain.

⚽ Bounce Juggling – 250 Touches

We aim for 250 touches a day using bounce juggles. It’s a great way to build timing and coordination, especially for newer players. Tips for bounce juggling can be found in the player Skill section.

Some days it’s total touches. Other days we go for new streak records. Once a player can consistently do 100 bounce juggles in a row, it’s time to do regular juggles without the bounce.
